The Fairchild Imaging CMOS sensors are called Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) since they are designed with a superior combination of features that are able to meet the extreme performance requirements of many scientific applications.
These sensors are also being employed in higher performance niches in Security and Surveillance, due to their high sensitivity and their high dynamic range as well as the low cost in higher volumes. Our sCMOS sensors allow our customers to collect images under lower light conditions and at higher speeds than were possible with standard technology.

Fairchild Imaging HWK1910A
2.1MP HD Format CMOS Image Sensor
The new technology sCMOS2.0 of Fairchild Imaging improves significantly low light performances of the image sensor HWK1910A with a read noise 1e- rms and with a Quantum Efficiency (QE) above 50% in color. Furthermore, the HWK1910A, composed of an active imaging matrix of 1920(H) x 1080(V) pixels (5T) running in rolling shutter readout mode, is able to reach 60fps in WDR mode and 30fps in UDR mode.
The electro-optical performances of the HWK1910A are really superior under extreme low light conditions, the image quality is then enhanced thanks to sCMOS2.0 technology.
Fairchild Imaging LTN4625A
LTN4625A - 12MP sCMOS Image Sensor
The Fairchild Imaging LTN4625A integrating the sCMOS2.0 technology is a rolling and global shutter type sCMOS sensor composed of an active array of 4608(H) x 2592(V) delivers lightning high speed, low light sensitivity and wide dynamic range.
In Rolling Shutter readout mode, LTN4625A supports 240fps at full resolution with less than 2e- RMS of read noise. In Global Shutter readout mode, the sensor delivers 120fps with less than 5e- RMS of read noise.
